SteelAce was built to run with AutoCAD 2005, but it is possible, that it works with other AutoCAD versions also.
Necessary installation steps:
1.Unzip all files from SteelAce zip to directory what afterward comes AutoCAD support files directory. For example create :C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2005\Steelace\
2.For "SteelAce" lisp applications work properly must be done: Tools -> Options -> Support file search path (add SteelAce path) then Exit and Enter AutoCAD
3.Load SteelAce-s menu as additional menu with "menuload" command.
4.For "massdims" looking out the best way must be done: Tools -> Options -> Files -> Template settings ->Default Template File name for Qnew : SteelAce.dwt (SteelAces "massdims" don't work well with drawings created not with using that template).
5.For "bill of materials" working must be done: Acad.pgp must be edited adding text row : BOMTBL, BOM, 4, Input file: , bom.exe must be within windows search path.
Recommended installation steps:
Load the "Hasco" menu as additional menu with "menuload" command.
Communication Center -> Settings -> "Daily" replace with "On Demand"

Tools -> Options -> Open and Save ( ) Automatic Save
-> User Preferences ( v ) Windows standard accelerator keys
Tools -> Options -> Display -> ( ) Display scroll bars in drawing menu
( v ) Display screen menu
( ) Display Layout and Model tabs
Tools -> Customize -> Toolbars -> Acad ->
( v ) Object Snap
( v ) Point Filters
-> SteelAce
Object Snap Settings -> ( ) Object snap on
You can replace "acad.mnu" with SteelAce's "acad.mnu" and load it with "menu" command or edit old "acad.mnu" next way:
Delete from: Begin AutoCAD Digitizer Button Menu
to: Begin AutoCAD Pull-down menu
and Accelerators section.
Copy from SteelAce.mnu AUX1 and Accelerators
Pop12, Pop13 Pop3 -> add ID_Refresh
Replace from SteelACE mnuPop1, Pop11
When it is done some additional commands will be accessible through pop menus and mousebuttons act next way:
1.Left button is Pick button
2.Middle button is Return button
3.Right button is Cancel button
Such change of AutoCAD menu is in case you customized your own menu and don't want loose your changes. If you don't have your menu, just copy "acad.mnu" from SteelAce.zip.
