On this page you can find couple of railway pictures from Great Britain, one from York, England and the other from Edinburgh, Scotland.
Here is is a perfect place to say some words about the way how passengers have are served in western European countries. In a schedule issued by ScotRail company you can find any information concerning passengers with disabilities. In every station there is available booklets containing information about stations, so people with disabilities are able to plan their trip early and know if they may need any help during it. (For comparision I suggest to look at picture taken of Jaanika railway stop in Harjumaa and imagine that you use a wheelchair and need to go to Jaanika by train that picture will be available later.) Second, in most places you can use so-called Park and Ride system. It means that you can leave your car to a free parking-area near the station and catch a train. All information about Park and Ride is also available in any schedule.
York is a lovely town in northern part of England. It has a very beautiful old town, pearl of which is a big cathedral.
A large parking-area by the York railway station shows that Park and Ride services are available there.
