First tram line in Tallinn was opened in 1888. Current system which hadn't change since 60-s, was lately completed with a new line. Tram lines connect such parts of the city as Tondi, Kopli, Kalamaja, Baltic Railway Station, Kadriorg, Central Market and Bus terminal, Vana-Lasnamägi and Ülemiste. Tram is the most loved transportation mean as well for making longer trips as to shorten walks in the city center.

Currently there are being used such tram types as T4 and KT4, in year 1998 there were 132 cars in two depots, one of which is situated on Pärnu Road and the other in Kopli. There are three terminuses – Tondi, Kopli and Ülemiste, and two terminus stops – Kadriorg and Vana-Lõuna.
