First KT4-SU trams were imported in 1981, latest cars arrived at the end of the soviet period (No. 51-123). In 1996-1998 nine used trams of the same type (KT4-D) were brought from Gera, Germany (No. 124-132). One of them, No. 128 was used in Berlin before Gera.

In 1981 and later, also, there were trams on lines which were composed of two KT4 cars but today only one-car KT4 trams are being used unlike T4 which are always riding in pairs.
